The Marangu Route, nicknamed the "Coca-Cola Route," is the oldest and most traditional path to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Beginning in Marangu, climbers trek through dense rainforests, spotting monkeys and exotic birds. Hut accommodations along the trail provide comfort, distinguishing it from other routes. With less elevation gain, the Marangu Route offers a gradual ascent, though still challenging. The final push to Uhuru Peak is via Gilman's Point or Stella Point, followed by a descent along the same path. Despite its popularity, the Marangu Route provides a rewarding and memorable experience for climbers over 5 to 6 days.
