TOUR ITINERARY
Early in the morning after a breakfast you will be picked up from Arusha/Moshi to Marangu village where you will start a walking tour through Marangu village and visiting the local Black smith. You will experience the cultural acts at Marangu village such as preparing coffee locally, local lunch, local beer made from banana as well as Marangu cultural dance and their cultural norms that you will learn. After some hours, you will hike down to the Marangu waterfall/Ndoro at which you will experience swimming.
Marangu waterfalls are located in the Kilimanjaro National Park, at the base of the Mount Kilimanjaro. The source of the Marangu waterfalls come is from the glaciers on top of Mount Kilimanjaro. 6 to 7 hours approximately will allow you to explore about the Marangu or Ndoro waterfalls adventure. About 40-minute is enough to drive from Arusha/Moshi town, from which you have a very nice view on Mount Kilimanjaro (especially in Moshi), located in the beautiful country side of Marangu surrounded by lush landscapes, you will find this hidden Marangu waterfall.
At the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, Ndoro Waterfall (Marangu waterfall) is one of the most popular and largest waterfalls in the area. About a one-hour hike, descending through the stunning green landscapes of Chagga (the largest tribe in Tanzania) land will bring you to this huge waterfall, here you will have the opportunity to you can stand underneath the Ndoro waterfall, even jump off one and go swimming in the refreshing water and have a well-deserved break for lunch in the beautiful valley. This is beautiful, and a relatively simple walk through the tropical rain forest that grows on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. You can see different types of monkeys (black and white colobus monkeys), tropical birds and many others. The duration of the trip is approximately six – seven hours.
