TOUR OVERVIEW
Mikumi is a town in Morogoro region adjacent to the National park bearing the same name. This park is in the southern part of the country as opposed to the popular northern parks of Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It is at the cross roads to the Ruaha river valley and Kilombero sugar factory, and the southern highland regions of Iringa and Mbeya. It is near the larger town of Kidodi. Kidodi is near a railway station and junction of the Tanzania Railway Corporation.
3 days mikumi park safari is a short but very interesting safari suitable for travelers with less time but in need to have an experience of the wildlife at Mikumi National Park.
This journey begins with a 5-6 hours drive From Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park.you will go on a game drive when you arrive. TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Departure Dar es salaam at 0700Hours from airport with our diver/guide to Mikumi by 4x4, Arrival in the Park after 4/5 hours depending on the traffic on the highway, lunch at Morongoro Town then drive into Mikumi National Park. You will do game drive till late in the evening dinner and overnight at the Lodge inside the Park.
DAY 2
FULL DAY GAME DRIVE TO MIKUMI
After breakfast full day game drive in the park, see the beauty of Mikumi national Park, see many animals like Elephant,Giraffe, wild dogs, Lions, Antelopes and many more. Dinner and overnight at your lodge inside.
DAY 3
MIKUMI to Dar es Salaam
Early morning sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park then you will be back to your lodge for breakfast, after breakfast you will do a game drive till afternoon. Drive back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro town for your lunch proceeding to dar es salaam arrival at 17:00hrs.End of the TOUR!!.
