SELOUS GAME RESERVE
The Selous is the largest game reserve and one of the favourite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering a total area of about 54,600 km2 (21,081 sq. miles), almost 6% of Tanzania’s land surface, is amongst the largest protected wet wilderness areas in Africa, Nyerere National Park is located in the South of Tanzania and four times the size of Serengeti.Wildlife viewing is magnificent in this location. What we come on safari to see are the animals and the landscapes, and this reserve doesn't let us down. Utilizing our services, you can fully benefit from the Selous providing one of the broadest selections of activities found in any natural wildlife park across the globe. TOUR ITINERARY
Early in the morning, at approximately 4.30 am, we pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the airport in time for your 6.30 am* flight to Selous, where your flying safari will begin.
Arrival at the reserve's airstrip gate about at 7:15. After landing, switch to safari vehicles, go into Selous, and begin your wildlife drive. A little break for a cup of coffee or tea and some locally made mandazi, or rice cookies, is taken after roughly an hour of game viewing.
Lunch in the wilderness at about 12:30 p.m.
Get a game drive until 4:00 PM. The safari ends at 4:30 PM, after which there is a flight back to Zanzibar. Return transfer to the hotel from the airport in Zanzibar.
